Wishing Well

keskiviikko 19. joulukuuta 2012
I'm kinda taking the easy way out here. Instead of writing everything twice I'm gonna just do it English straight away. If some of you feel we should keep writing stuff in Finnish, let us know and we'll try to do some extra posts in Finnish too.

You know what!? Everybody Say got past 10 000 views on YouTube. That's pretty cool! It took All I Want a lot longer to get there. Now let's try to get that bad boy past 20k!

Our song Let Me Breathe got featured in one of the highlight videos of the Finnish National Hockey League team Espoo Blues. Check it!

And hey! We got a new Drum Cover done today. This time Otto did some Blink-182 for you guys. Wishing Well.

We're gonna wrap up the last tracks for the acoustic album this week. And we'll play a show in Sastamala (it's a town near Tampere in Finland) this Saturday. The day after the world ends. Let's hope it doesn't so we get to play. Lol.

Google+ online gig today!

sunnuntai 16. joulukuuta 2012

Just wanted to remind you guys of our online gig on Google+ today at 2PM EST, 9PM Finnish time. We will post the stream on our Google+ profile and Facebook-page etc. So be sure to check them out in a few hours!

We're also getting the final touches on the mix of the acoustic album as we speak and try to push it to Spotify, iTunes and other digital distributors by the end of the year. After that it's time to make some completely new music altogether. That's gonna be sweet.

See ya later!

Here and there

Sorry about the not too frequent updating of the blog lately. Couldn't do it on the road and now I've been just delaying it for nothing. Well, maybe not for nothing. Have had a bit of a flu and been mixing the previous acoustic songs for the upcoming acoustic album.

Anyway. We went to St. Petersburg last week and played a show there. Our first one there and the first one in Russia in general. I don't know if you can generalize Russia though. It's a big - rather huge - country. St. Petersburg felt like Helsinki but like a hundred times bigger. Endlessly long streets to every direction. Imagine that. It does have the population of the whole country of Finland so I guess it needs to be big.

The show itself went alright. The venue was a real underground rock club right in the center of St. Petersburg. And even if the schedule didn't quite keep up, it was nice to see people there when we started to play. So despite the flu we all had, it was fun to play. Like it always is.

Got back safe and sound. Right now we're concentrating on finishing the acoustic album and after that we're going to start recording some new songs.

We also have a couple of gigs coming up still this year. We're doing an acoustic online gig as a part of the Artists In The Plus Music Festival on Google+. It's going to be this Sunday at 2pm EST, that's 9pm Finnish time. More info on that on the official event on Google+.

Besides that we are playing one show in Finland on Dec 22nd at Ellivuori, Sastamala. You can find info about that on their Facebook event.

Ps. Lolled pretty hard for this sign on the Toilet door at FishFabrique...

We're back! ...and off again

We got back from UK on Monday and have spent the last few days recovering from the trip. The tour went fine. We got there and back in one piece and even got our gear with us - even if we might have had some doubt with that on the way back. Some of the staff on the airport weren't sure if we should be allowed to bring our guitars to the cabin with us. Even if we did so just fine on the way there. Anyway, we got them to fit just fine and got them back just fine.

We spent the first night in London just hanging around and seeing the city. On Thursday we spent some time sightseeing and traveled to Bournemouth after that. That is where the first show of the tour was.

Bournemouth was a Summer town with beaches and hotels. The only problem was that it was freezing cold. And dark by the time we got there. The venue was a local club near the beach. Everything went alright. Even if we were a bit cold since they kept the doors open the whole time. We thought we were supposed to be able to endure the cold but I guess the English are a lot more hardcore when it comes to that.

After the gig we drove to Hastings with The Vindickers guys and spent the night there. On Friday we drove back to London to play Nambucca. It was a tight scheduled show with six bands playing. We were playing last so we had good time to hang around in the venue and talk to some fans.

The last show was in Hastings which was the home town of The Vindickers dudes. We took a "4 or 5 minute walk" from the B&B that turned out to be a 45 minute walk to the venue. But we got to see the town so it was pretty cool. And not just the temperature, I mean.

The last show was definitely the best one of the tour. The best bands, the best crowd and the best after party. All in all everything went great.

We're going to write some more stuff about the trip later and release some video blogs we shot during the tour. But first we're heading to St. Petersburg to play a show there tomorrow. That will be our first time in Russia, so it will be exciting.

Talk to you later!
